ELIGIBILITY:
(a) Age: No candidate shall be qualified for admission/enrollment to the University in the first year of the Degree unless she is 17 years of age before the first day of October in the year in which she seeks admission. Provided that the Vice Chancellor on the basis of individual merit, relax the age limit up to a maximum period of one year. After a candidate has been admitted by the college and the application is made through the Principal of the college.
(b) Academic Qualification: A candidate must have passed Senior School Certificate Examinations (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized equivalent with subjects specified criteria selection.
HOW TO APPLY:
Admission form attach with prospectus containing eligibility etc. can be obtained on all working days ( Monday through Saturday) between 10.00 A.M and 1.00 P.M. w.e.f 1st June 2006 the college office on payment of Rs.150/- (Non Refundable) at the counter or by post sending crossed Bank Draft worth Rs.170/- in favour of the "Principal, Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Woman", Jilmil Colony, Vivak Vihar, Delhi 110095. Separate form should be filled for each course. Additional form can be obtained for Rs.5/- each. Candidates requesting forms by post must also send a self addressed envelop (10 X 8).
The last date for receipt to filled in application form is upto 1.00 P.M, 15th June, 2006.
The outstation candidates can send the completed application forms by Registered post to the "Principal, Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Science For Women, Jhilmil Colony, Vivek Vihar, Delhi-110095." so as to reach college not later than 16th June 2006.
The original Certificate and attested photo copies of the following have to be submitted only at the time of admission:

Scheduled caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Physically Handicapped/Children/Widows of armed personnel killed/disabled in action during the hostilities:
The candidates falling in any of the above categories are required to register themselves for admission with Delhi University as per procedure laid down for them by the University of Delhi.
Reservation of Seats
(a) 22.5% seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates (SC- 15%, ST- 7.5%)
(b) 5% seats are reserved for the children/windows of armed personnel killed in action during the hostilities.
(c) 3% seats are reserved for the physically Handicapped Candidate.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
(i) For B.A.Sc (Hons.) Courses: The selection of a candidate will be made on the basis of merit and a counseling/ interaction session. The dates for the counseling would be as the University notifications for admission. No separate intimation would be given by the college to the candidates individually.
Criteria for selection:The minimum eligibility as well as the required courses studied at Senior Secondary School level for respective courses are..
(a) Electronics:
(i) English (ii) Physics (iii) Chemistry (iv) Mathematics
PCM with at least 60% marks
(b) Instrumentation:
(i) English (ii) Physics (iii) Chemistry (iv) Mathematics (iv) Biology (optional)
PCM/PCB with at least 60% marks whichever is higher
(b) Food Technology:
(i) English (ii) Physics (iii) Chemistry (iv) Mathematics (iv) Biology (optional)
PCM/PCB with at least 60% marks whichever is higher
Candidates seeking the admission in all the three courses must have studied physics, chemistry and mathematic at the 12th class level. Non- biology studies would consider for admission. However, non-biology student seeking admission will have to study General biology in their first year.
(ii) For B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science: The candidate must have passed Senior School Certificate Examination (XII) with Mathematics, of the CBSE Board or any other equivalent examination thereto in Arts/Commerce/Science subjects and should have secured.
(a) 60% or more marks in Mathematics
(b) 55% or more marks in aggregate of four subjects including Mathematics, one language and two other subjects listed as academic subjects by the respective Boards.
The admission would be based on the aggregate of marks scored (Class XII) in the best three academic subjects including Mathematics (not more than one language to be considered). The students who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class XII will be given 5% additional weightage in admissions.
